BMG has signed an exclusive worldwide publishing agreement with British hip-hop pioneer Giggs – just as his mixtape Wamp 2 Dem lands at No.2 on the Official UK Album Chart.
The deal includes rights to Giggs’s previous album Landlord, also a No.2 hit, as well as future work.
Giggs has been a leading figure of the UK urban music scene since his acclaimed 2008 debut Walk in da Park.
In recent years, his music has been embraced by major North American stars such as Drake.
Giggs collaborated with Drake across two tracks on the Canadian megastar’s recent No.1 playlist/album More Life – No Long Talk and KMT – which have attracted more than 85m streams on Spotify combined.

Wamp 2 Dem has been released on Giggs’s own label, No Bs Music, in partnership with Universal Music.
It includes contributions from 2 Chainz, Popcaan, Donae’o, Lil Duke & Young Thug and Dave.

Even that mammoth figure is likely to be a conservative estimate: Kworb only counts streams that have appeared within Spotify’s own regional or global Top 200 charts.
