If you’re looking for a great deal on some great speakers for your home theater or living room, you have a few hours left to take advantage of a big sale on Klipsch speakers on Crutchfield and Amazon. Here’s the link to the sale on Crutchfield.

Note: Some sale prices have been extended beyond Cyber Monday. Also, Amazon is offering similar pricing on some models (see individual links below):

The punchy, dynamic Klipsch sound makes them an excellent choice for movies and home theater but Klipsch speakers also perform well with music. Crutchfield is an authorized Klipsch dealer and free shipping is included. The sale includes three dozen different speakers and subs, including tower speakers, bookshelf speakers, center channel speakers, subwoofers and Dolby Atmos enabled speakers to add the height channels in an immersive surround sound system.

Here are a few of our favorite Klipsch deals:

Klipsch Reference R120-SW 12″ powered sub: $250 (Save $350)

The foundation of an excellent home theater system is a capable and dynamic powered subwoofer. But one of the secrets of truly exceptional home theater performance is that you actually need more than one sub. Low bass frequencies are non-directional but their long wavelength makes subwoofer placement tricky. If you only have a single sub, you can get areas in the room with nulls or base nodes that make your bass disappear while other areas of the room have standing modes where the bass response is too high.

The best way to solve this problem is with two or more subwoofers in the same system. With careful experimentation and placement you can get nice extended bass performance no matter the listening position. And with this deal on the Klipsch R120-SW, you can actually bring home two powered 12″ subs for less than the regular price of one.

The R120-SW features a 12-inch front-firing IMG (Injection Molded Graphite) spun-copper woofer with a 200-watt (RMS) power amp. Frequency response reaches all the way down to a deep 29 Hz for deep extended bass in most rooms. Note: Amazon still has the lower price available on November 30:

Klipsch Reference Premier RP-280F Tower Speaker ($349.99 Each)

Bookshelf speakers are fine and dandy for small spaces, but nothing beats a floorstanding tower loudspeaker for cinematic sound. The Klipsch RP-280F features an extended frequency response of 32-25,000 Hz (±3dB) and power handling of up to 150 Watts (600 watts peak). Their sensitivity rating of 98 dB means they can be driven to cinematic reference levels by even a moderately powered A/V receiver. The tower features a two-way design with a Klipsch 90° x 90° Hybrid Cross-Section Tractrix horn with 1″ LTS (Linear Travel Suspension) titanium diaphragm tweeter and dual 8″ CerametallicTM cone woofers with rigid titanium voice coil formers.

The RP-280F is already among the best values in the Klipsch Reference Premiere line-up at $449/each, but the Cyber Monday discount knocks $100 off that price ($349.99/each). Note: Amazon lowered its price on this speaker to $299.99 on November 30. See link below.

Klipsch Reference R41SA Dolby Atmos-enabled Height Speaker ($199.99/pair)

Dolby Atmos immersive surround takes your home theater to the next level – literally – with the addition of a height element to traditional surround sound. And while the best results are normally obtained with in-ceiling speakers, some people are not excited about cutting holes in ceilings and trying to hide those speaker wires. If you have standard flat ceilings less than 15 feet high in your living room or home theater, then you can get excellent results with Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers like the Klipsch R41SA. These add-on speakers feature angled upward-facing drivers to reflect sound off your ceilings in order to create fully immersive surround sound.

Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers like the R41SA can add height effects to your surround sound system for immersive surround.

The R41SA sound is perfectly matched to other speakers in the Klipsch Reference and Reference Premier line. And their size and finish provides an excellent visual match to the Klipsch line-up as well. They can also be wall or ceiling mounted if that is your preference. They can even be used as a budget rear or side surround speakers mounted on the wall or on stands. On Cyber Monday, these speakers are available for $199.99/pair – $100 below their regular price.

Klipsch RP450C Reference Premier Center Channel Speaker ($324)

As exciting and impressive as tower speakers, subwoofers and height effects speakers can be, the center channel speaker is actually the most important link in the home theater speaker chain. Up to 70% of all sound in movies and TV shows – including virtually all of the spoken dialog – comes from the center channel speaker. So this is definitely not an area where you’ll want to skimp.

All of the Klipsch Reference Premier speakers feature removable magnetic grilles in case you like the unique look of the copper colored Cerametallic drivers.

Fortunately Crutchfield is offering the Klipsch RP450C Reference Premier center channel speaker for less than half it’s regular price at $324 (list price is $650). The RP450C features a frequency response of 58-25,000 Hz (±3dB) and an easy-to-drive sensitivity of 97 dB with peak power handling up to 600 watts. Drivers are the same design you’ll see in other Klipsch Reference Premier series speakers with a 90° x 90° Hybrid Cross-Section Tractrix horn with 1″ LTS (Linear Travel Suspension) titanium diaphragm tweeter and four 5-1/4″ Cerametallic cone woofers with rigid titanium voice coil formers. This makes the speaker a perfect tonal match to other speakers in the Reference and Reference Premier line-up.

Klipsch RP-600M II Bookshelf Speakers: $449.99/pair (Save $300)

If it is a high performance pair of bookshelf speakers you crave, then check out the Klipsch RP-600M II speakers, which are now discounted $300 to $449.99/pair. These were recently reviewed by our very own Will Jennings who said, “the RP-600M II take what listeners loved about its predecessor, and offer better detail retrieval, more articulate bass, and vastly improved soundstage width and imaging.” At $749/pair, he named them a bargain bookshelf speaker which is easily able to compete with other speakers up to $1500/pair. At the discounted price of $449.99/pair, the RP-600M is a no-brainer.
