Overview
Based in Bermondsey, our record company includes the globally renowned and successful independent dance and electronic labels Anjunabeats, Anjunadeep and Anjunachill. The label business also distributes and provides label services for a number of imprints.
We are also home to Involved Publishing, a progressive independent music publisher and home to some of the most cutting-edge producers, writers and artists from around the world.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive People & Culture Manager to lead our human resources function in the UK. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance with UK employment law, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
The ideal candidate will be a true people person, capable of collaborating with team leaders to assist in delivering their people objectives and someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
- Manage employee relations, providing guidance on disciplinary, grievance, and conflict resolution matters, escalating to the People & Culture Director when applicable.
- Develop and implement people and culture strategies that enhance employee experience and organisational performance collaborating with leadership and management teams.
- Champion company culture and values, ensuring they are embedded across all processes and initiatives.
- Support leadership and management teams in driving employee engagement and retention strategies.
- Support organisational development through training, coaching, and professional development initiatives.
- Assist and advise on benefits management.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that enhances employee engagement and retention.
- Advise, support and coach managers on best practices.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, including GDPR, health & safety, and diversity & inclusion policies.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with UK employment laws and best practices in collaboration with the People & Culture Director
- Keep up to date with changes in employment law and industry trends, ensuring policies remain relevant and competitive.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or similar role, preferably within the creative sector.
- Experience of working with founder owners is a bonus.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
- A coaching qualification is a bonus.
- Experience in managing HR software and systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to balance handling day-to-day HR operations alongside bigger project work.
