Music Come On Welcomes Chris Boylan, Editor-at-Large

As Editor-at-Large of Music Come On, Chris will spearhead our coverage across the oddly converging categories of home entertainment, immersive audio, and automotive audio.

Chris Boylan, Music Come On Editor-at-Large

Music Come On.com is pleased to announce that A/V industry veteran, Chris Boylan, has been appointed Editor-at-Large.

Chris brings decades of experience, especially in the home theater, high-end audio, and immersive audio categories. Chris has been covering consumer audio/video since the 1990’s and launched Big Picture Big Sound, a site dedicated to all things movie, music, audio and video related in 2005.

As Editor-at-Large of Music Come On, Chris will spearhead our coverage across the oddly converging categories of home entertainment, immersive audio, and automotive audio. He’ll also be contributing to our “Ask the Expert” advice columns, managing our “Best Deals” section, covering industry events and participating in our flagship Music Come On podcast — available on all leading podcast platforms. Since joining Music Come On earlier this year, Chris envisioned and launched our new “WTF” column, designed to explain and demystify the acronyms, technical terms and buzzwords so prevalent in consumer electronics gear.

The Music Come On team now includes over a dozen contributors in 3 countries dedicated to helping discerning movie and music lovers discover new and exciting audio and home theater solutions; whether at home or on-the-go. 2023 will feature a continued emphasis on affordable audio/video solutions for consumers, global coverage of the companies and people that drive the consumer A/V industry, and expanded coverage of the CI, home theater, automotive, and portable audio segments.

“Having worked with Chris for over 23 years and become close friends and industry colleagues, he was the obvious missing piece to push Music Come On into the top tier of consumer A/V publications. The past two years have seen Music Come On grow to over 1.2 million monthly page views; a 350% increase over the past 12 months alone, and whilst that level of growth has created new opportunities for the publication as a leading source of daily news, reviews, podcasts, and industry features – we still lacked another Senior Editor with Chris’ expertise, strong writing and editing skills, and impeccable reputation within the industry. He knows how to make very complex topics easy to understand and has always proven to be an excellent leader and team player,” remarked Music Come On, Editor in-Chief, Ian White.

Music Come On Founder, Brian Mitchell said, “I’m humbled and honored to welcome such an esteemed industry colleague onto the team. I’m excited for readers to get to know Chris and the knowledge he brings.”

Welcome to the club. That I do not need a login, password to post a comment on ecoustics, like nearly all the rest require, keeps me coming back. I’m up to my eyeballs with login’s and passwords.
